We’re thrilled to share the success of our first Iu Mien Language and Culture classes, which concluded on April 4, 2026. Students engaged in a unique and rewarding project: they collaboratively wrote and published a bilingual Iu Mien and English children's book. Working together, they developed their Iu Mien literacy skills and produced a tangible representation of their learning. This book is a direct result of their dedication and the knowledge they gained in the class. We believe this project is vital for preserving the Iu Mien language, and we invite you to support our students by purchasing a copy of the book.
Each session of the Iu Mien Language and Culture classes will build upon this project, creating more bilingual book resources for the Iu Mien community. We're excited to announce our summer session, beginning June 13th, 2026, and concluding September 5th, 2026. During this time, more books will be added to our available resources.
